Original Acrylic Painting “Vine”

This piece was inspired by the lush rains of Puna and the vibrant flora that flourishes in its embrace. The bold strokes of magenta, chartreuse, and turquoise evoke the hanging heliconia and the rare beauty of blue jade vines, each petal-like form layered with intention and texture. Against a backdrop that recalls rainfall rippling into earth and water, the composition celebrates both the abundance and the mystery of tropical life.

For me, this work is about rhythm and renewal—the way rain nourishes, the way plants unfurl toward the light, and the way color carries memory. It is an offering of aloha, rooted in place, honoring the living patterns of Hawaiʻi.
